The purpose of Dickens Records is to
reintroduce quality music into the music world. Music has been a part of all cultures since the beginning of man, even probably before the
development of language. It is by far one of the most important parts of our culture. It has even been a part of the development of our
languages and the stories that make up our history -- it is a language that all people of the world understand-- even when they don’t
speak the same language. It is as much a part of us as our souls. It is where real music comes from.
For the past twenty five years or so the music industry has been increasingly corrupting the most sacred part of our culture by people
who have no business being in the music business. By turning it into a lifeless, meaningless, manipulation for the latest craze while
discriminating the true artist for the sake of profit.
They have negatively influenced the minds of the youth. They have pushed aside quality musicians for computers
and technicians while cheapening our culture from a lack of vision and ideas for money and status. They are holding back true freedom
of expression, leaving no choice for the youth except to learn and grow from inadequacies. We have no choice except to witness their
estimation of what art and music is, which to them is a commodity.
Commodity: 1. Article of trade or commerce; ware or product. 2. Something whose usefulness is
exploited or turned to advantage or profit; something bought or sold.
It has and is more becoming the trend to use technology, gimmicks and over hype while covering up the authenticity of how
and where good music comes from -- inadvertently by always going for the money. It doesn’t matter how you add it up or what you call it.
It exists. It’s real. It’s turning our culture into a lifeless replica of past fads,events and heroes.
Many people of the music industry today are imposters or puppets for greed. It is against what the US is suppose to stand for, or
use to. If the US were to fight a war using the same logic as the entertainment industry we would sell out before we’d lose and some fascist
government would be telling us what to do, where to go by manipulating what we hear and see. Isn’t it interesting that that is practically
what the entertainment industry is doing. It is shameful and has gotten to the point where it is intolerable. It is time for a change.
Realistic: 1. accurate and objective, as in literary or artistic representation; of, or relating to, or characterized by artistic
or literary realism. 2. not visionary or idealistic but concerned with what is actual or practical.
The purpose of Dickenz Records is to become a competitive record company of the highest quality and to help bring back real music
and musicians to their rightful place. Dickenz Records is a company designed to be REALISTIC. To “exploit” the good nature of music,
telling, “Tales of the Music Story” and it’s history. To be an example of conviction and truth. Dickenz Records will be one of the newer companies of the future whose focus will be fixed on the talent of
experience and seasoned individuals of the music world.
